Contracts and Procurement Advisor Attractive Market Remuneration Package | Flexible Work Arrangements | Exciting Opportunity to join the largest copper-focused Australian listed company and be a part of the global energy transition.About Sandfire Sandfire is a sustainable mining company transforming into a global copper producer of significance.With a demonstrated commitment to the highest safety and environmental standards, we mine copper sustainably to energise the future.Sandfire's values, principles and skills in copper mining and exploration have been instrumental in its success to date and will continue to define growth into the future.Sandfire is focused on delivering safe, consistent and predictable long-term performance at its MATSA operations in the Iberian Pyrite Belt and Motheo operations in the Kalahari Copper Belt.Operating across four continents (Australia, Africa - Botswana, Europe - Spain and USA - Montana), Sandfire is also delivering lasting, positive contributions to the communities where we operate.Copper continues to play a vital role in the electrification and decarbonisation of the global economy.With modern processing hubs in two highly prospective copper belts, attractive development options, and exciting exploration prospects, Sandfire is well placed to support the green energy transition.You can learn more about Sandfire on our website.About the Role Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Contracts and Procurement Advisor is responsible for providing procurement and contracts advice and services.This position provides procurement services for Head Office, DeGrussa and certain global exploration activities, in accordance with Sandfire's procurement policies and procedures.This role also provides support to Sandfire's global procurement activities.Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to): Managing the end-to-end procurement process for Head Office, DeGrussa and assigned global exploration activities.Prepare, issue, and evaluate requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and tenders.Perform supplier evaluations, assessments, and due diligence.Identify and mitigate potential procurement and contract related risks.Draft, review, and negotiate procurement contracts ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal requirements.Liaise between internal teams (legal, finance, compliance etc.)and suppliers during contract negotiations and execution.Manage renewals, terminations and amendments to contracts.Maintain records of contracts and related documents in company contract repository.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.Provide guidance and support on procurement and contract management practices.Ensure all procurement activities comply with Sandfire's Global Procurement and Suppliers Standard and applicable policies and procedures.Identify and implement improvements in processes including initiatives to reduce the environmental and social impact of procurement activities.Assist in providing Australia procure to pay support as required.Assist with the global implementation and assurance of Sandfire's Global Procurement and Suppliers standard and framework.Provision of global advice and support in Contracts, Procurement, Sustainable Procurement, Contract Management and Warehouse and Inventory Management.Assist in assurance activities including auditing against Sandfire's global Procurement and Suppliers Standard.Prepare reports, analysis, and advice as required by the global business.Contributing new ideas, including opportunities to improve the efficiency and sustainability of business processes.Other duties as per operation requirements About You 6+ years' experience in contracts and/or procurement position, ideal within the mining sector.Relevant tertiary qualifications Experience in procurement processes, contract negotiation and management Experience working in a group structure organization Experience in sustainable procurement or ethical sourcing practices.Attention to detail and the willingness to raise and resolve issues Strong written and verbal communication Benefits Attractive, market-competitive remuneration package.Salary continuance insurance scheme.Flexible work arrangements.Corporate health insurance discount.Ongoing professional development opportunities; and Being a part of a Values-driven, inclusive, and respectful organisation.
