Company: Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader to manage a team of two AP officers and report directly to the Finance Manager. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the work of two AP officers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Forecast and manage payments to ensure accurate cash flow planning and timely processing. Collaborate with other teams to improve end-to-end processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Contribute to team goals, assist during peak periods (e.g. processing invoices), and support other teams as needed. Lead the continual improvement of procedures, systems, and reporting in accounting functions. Contribute ideas for improving the infrastructure supporting finance and the broader business. Perform reconciliations as needed to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Take an active role in running projects within the Accounts Payable (AP) function, driving improvements and process optimisation. Requirements: Experience as AP Team leader - Lead and mentor a team of Accounts Payable Officers, overseeing their daily operations and ensuring timely, accurate payments. Process improvements & automation - Proven track record in identifying process inefficiencies and implementing automation to streamline workflows. Strong experience in a small and ever-changing environments Compliance & reporting - In-depth experience in ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, with the ability to generate detailed, accurate reports. Strong stakeholder management - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders. System-savvy - Advanced knowledge of large ERP systems, using technology to optimise and streamline AP processes.
