You will play a key role in ensuring the planning, development and teaching of nursing education course/programs at the hospital are well thought out and executed. As the Medical Educator your responsibilities will include: Plan, develop and deliver nursing education courses/programs within the hospital's medical ward Coordinate and provide hands on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation and orientation to all staff, with a focus graduate nurses & students Promote a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge Supervise staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components Ensure best practice competency based programs are available and assessment of staff competencies are provided for all medical ward staff Work with the Medical Ward NUM and executive team members to prioritise departmental education requirements Work in one of Tasmania's leading private hospitals. Essential Criteria: Registered Nurse with Current AHPRA Registration Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (or similar, working towards) Minimum of 3 years medical ward nursing experience Demonstrated experience in eLearning platform High degree of computer literacy including MS Office Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Why Healthscope?
