The RoleMy client is seeking an experienced Change Manager – GIS Modernisation to lead change within an exciting Digital Transformation Programme.
This 12-month contract, with a potential 12-month extension, is based in South Brisbane, requiring on-site presence three days per week.
As a key driver in the GIS Modernisation Project, you will ensure the successful adoption of upgraded GIS solutions, focusing on the people side of change.

Key ResponsibilitiesChange Strategy Development: Design and implement change management plans to support the GIS Modernisation Project, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with a diverse stakeholder base, effectively managing collaboration and resistance.Communication: Develop clear, tailored communication strategies to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the transformation process.Training & Support: Identify training needs, oversee the creation of learning materials, and ensure end-users are equipped to adopt changes effectively.Impact Assessment: Conduct readiness assessments, analyse change impacts, and develop mitigation strategies to address potential risks.Project Integration & Performance Monitoring: Work closely with project managers and technical teams to embed change management activities into project plans, define success metrics, track progress, and report on adoption rates and overall project outcomes.About YouYou are a results-driven professional with a strong track record in delivering change initiatives.
You have the ability to work at pace, take ownership of your role, and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
You require minimal day-to-day direction and are confident in leading working groups and guiding project teams and Project Managers.
Your Skills & Experience:Proven experience in change management within digital transformation projects, ideally involving GIS or similar technologies (preferred but not essential).Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse groups.Excellent communication abilities (both verbal and written) to convey complex information clearly.Proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a keen ability to anticipate challenges and resolve them independently.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while demonstrating leadership in managing change initiatives.Familiarity with change management methodologies and project management principles.Working with a diverse range of stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting a high-performing and well-established working group, ensuring seamless stakeholder engagement and the successful implementation of a GIS software upgrade.
