**Job Title:** Dental Assistant

**About the Role:** We are seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Larrakeyah Health Centre, providing essential dental care to Australian Defence Force (ADF) members. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide chair-side assistance to Dentist, Dental Specialist, or Hygienist during dental procedures.
* Perform administrative tasks including accurately entering and updating patient records, scheduling appointments, and assisting with other duties as delegated by the Dentist.
* Actively promote oral health education to patients, advocating for optimal hygiene practices and preventive care measures.
* Support the dental team in various activities, maintaining compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and procedures.
* Contribute to the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols to ensure a hygienic environment.
**Requirements:**
* A minimum of 2 years (full-time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years in a dental assisting role.
* Recent engagement in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities to stay updated with industry standards and best practices.
* Current certifications in First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009).
* Possession of a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent nationally recognized qualification.
* Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence security clearance.
