Leading a team of finance professionals and supported by embedded procurement professionals, the Manager, Group Finance and Procurement, delivers on the department's centrally managed, locally delivered financial services model. The Manager, Group Finance and Procurement plays an integral role in delivering business partnership for the Deputy Secretaries and their Group Executives for both finance and procurement. The role provides financial advisory support to the Groups in both responsible and strategic financial management.
The role of a Manager, Group Finance and Procurement:
1. Provides multi-disciplinary leadership in strategic budget, financial planning, and policy development for and across the department.
2. Manages a team of finance professionals and supported by procurement professionals to deliver a centrally managed, locally delivered financial services model.
3. Drives responsible and strategic financial management for the department.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
4. Demonstrated experience leading a team and driving a culture where quality practices are embedded in service delivery and financial partnering.
5. Highly developed conceptual, analytical and research skills with an aptitude for problem solving in the context of financial and budget resource management.
6. Government experience is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
7. Relevant qualification in policy, strategy or finance is desirable.
