About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Level 3 Social Worker – Critical Care to join the Social Work Department at Northern Beaches Hospital on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for providing a high standard of clinical care, working in partnership with Medical Officers and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide assessment and evidence-based treatment. You will also be expected to participate in our social work weekend on-call roster.
Selection Criteria:
* Degree in Social Work and eligibility to the AASW
* 4 years minimum experience working as a qualified social worker
* Demonstrated experience working in an Acute Care Facility
* Extensive clinical experience in the areas of Aged Care and General Medicine
* Demonstrated experience providing supervision
* Highly developed social work assessment and counselling skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice
