Based at theNorth-West Cancer Centrein Burnie, adjacent to the North-West Regional Hospital, this full-time position offers the opportunity to provide specialist oncology care within a multidisciplinary team.As part of ateam of five Radiation Oncologists, including two based onsite in Burnie (one existing and this position to be filled), you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality oncology services to the North-West community.About the Northern Cancer Service:The North-West Cancer Centre is an integral part of theNorthern Cancer Service, a comprehensive and integrated cancer care provider offering state-of-the-artmedical oncology ,radiation oncology, andhaematology services. Serving a population of approximately 250,000 people across Northern Tasmania, the Northern Cancer Service operates across three sites, with radiation oncology offered at two of these locations.Your Role:As aRadiation Oncologist, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional specialist and subspecialty care to oncology patients, ensuring high-quality treatment within the limits of your clinical privileges. You will be responsible for public hospital outpatients, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and techniques, including SBRT (2025), DIBH, IMRT, VMAT, 4DCT, and 3D planning. Fellowship of the Australian Royal Medical College relevant to the applicant's radiation oncology speciality.2.
