About the Role:We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to support our 36 year old male client with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Our goal is to provide a safe and structured environment that promotes his independence and well-being.Please Note: This client lives at home in Northcote but will be moving out of home for the first time to Frankston to live in a SIL. We are offering paid KMs in your vehicle from Frankston area to Northcote for the first several weeks of employment until this client is living full time in Frankston.Shifts:Available shifts between 11am to 5pm - Monday to Sunday - we will be moving to a set roster when the client moved into the SIL which may include sleepover shifts also. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the morning routine, which may take several hours Support him during activities such as swimming (at least twice a week), going for walks, and visiting Sea Life Aquarium. Engage in interests, including trains, LEGO, yoga, and favorite meals. Implement and follow a structured routine, including extensive bedtime rituals, while ensuring a calm and predictable environment. Help manage anxiety and compulsive behaviors Provide assistance with maintaining cleanliness Requirements: Must possess a knowledge of technology and / or a good level of computer skills to facilitate our clients computer and tech interests and daily routine needs (non-negotiable). Demonstrated patience and resilience; understanding that this role can be challenging. Ability to thrive in a routine-oriented environment and maintain structure. A laid-back personality with the initiative to keep the individual engaged and active throughout the day.
