We have a large team nationally and are looking forward to a very busy few years ahead.About the RoleReporting to the Group's Chief Operating Officer, the National Procurement Manager will be responsible for all procurement and purchasing activities of the group, ensuring optimum cost efficiency and effectiveness when it comes to purchases of materials and getting the best value for money, whilst maintaining the estimated cost budgets.
The National Procurement Manager ensures the procurement department works closely with the Estimators, Site Managers, Senior Management, and other key internal and external stakeholders, to achieve these objectives.The National Procurement Manager is also responsible for all activities with respect to the Pre-Fabrication function of the business, including transportation.Key duties include, but are not limited toSource and select for the best purchase package of materials in terms of quality, price, term, delivery and services with suppliers, ensuring to negotiate the best possible priceReview purchasing agreements with suppliers including price, delivery, performance and discounts to achieve reduced supply chain costs.Maintain a report detailing the number of purchase orders generated per site per week and send to Chief Operating Officer.Overall management of the warehouse & pre-fabrication activities, including stock, tools/plant equipment, fleet management, facility maintenance & pre-fab production.Organise and coordinate the servicing and/or commissioning of all Company vehicles, plant and equipment.Ensure the timely & effective deliverables of the pre-fab production to the various sites/project requirementsWhat we want from youMinimum 5 years' experience in a similar role in the construction or similar industriesKnowledge of suppliers and products in the construction industry (plumbing and/or civil knowledge highly advantageous)Experience within the construction industry will be highly advantageousProven experience with cost control and negotiationAbility to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customersStrong commercial/business acumenAbility to work to strict time constraints and have excellent time management skillsAbility to act with discretion & confidentiality with sensitive informationWhat you get from usGrowth and development opportunitiesOn-site parking and uniforms providedApply now!If this sounds like your next role, we would love to hear from you - click 'Apply for this job' and attach your cover letter and current CV which outlines your skills and experiences against the criteria of the position.
