Opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Mechanic / Service Technician to join the team based in Wedgefield on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be hardworking and motivated, customer service focused with a positive can-do attitude.
Please note this is not a FIFO role. Only Port Hedland residents will be considered for this role.
* Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm, the duties of this role will include;
* Performing regular maintenance, repairs, inspections and field servicing at our client’s sites
* Developing excellent working relationships based upon mutual respect with all customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
* Maintaining our fleet to the manufacturer, company, and Australian standards.
* Assisting with Workshop duties when required.
* Understanding and working effectively within the policies, procedures, and systems processes.
* Maintaining a strong safety focus
The successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values of People, Safety, Communication, Respect and Continuous Improvement. In addition to this they will have;
* Qualifications as a mechanic are essential.
* Experience with access machinery and equipment will be viewed favourably
* Well-developed communication skills
* Assertiveness, tenacity with a demonstrated sense of urgency, determination, and resilience
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Ability to work and adapt in a dynamic, ever-changing environment effectively, with minimal supervision.
* Demonstrated commitment to quality; ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and be self-motivated.
* Valid Driver's License
* The ability to pass a pre-employment medical test, including drug and alcohol testing.
