The Team
Our Insurance & Health team is led by 32 industry-leading principals across six states. Within the insurance space, our award-winning team produces high-quality advice and delivers exceptional client service. We handle claims across all major classes of insurance and represent some of the biggest names in the industry, both locally and overseas.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Melbourne team. This role will support a number of solicitors specializing in defendant insurance areas. Key responsibilities include:
* File management – opening/closing files and filing/e-filing;
* Monthly billing and reporting;
* Adhering to client service standards;
* Drafting correspondence;
* Client liaison;
* Brief preparation;
* Diary and travel management, including booking appointments; and
* General PA and secretarial support.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Previous experience in defendant insurance litigation (desirable);
* Experience using precedent, billing, and file management programs;
* An enthusiastic and proactive approach to work;
* Strong communication skills;
* Ability to build strong internal relationships.
