Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, Resort Shop and Day Spa.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Restaurant Manager for a fixed-term contract commencing May- November. This position will require you to have a highly visible presence and hands-on approach during service periods.
The key duties and responsibilities of this position include :
* Managing staff to ensure restaurant service levels are consistent and of the highest possible standard
* Providing ongoing training and mentoring of staff
* Driving revenue by ensuring maximum covers per service period
* Roster preparation and approval of timesheets in accordance with resort processes
* Stock rotation and ordering, including a monthly stocktake
* Monitoring the restaurant budget, including completing detailed reporting on the same
* Working closely with the Kitchen and other resort departments
* Ensuring the restaurant and staff is always presented to resort standards
* Promptly addressing customer concerns
The required skills, experience and attributes for this position include :
* Experience working at Restaurant Management level in high-end full service restaurant
* Previous experience working with European cuisine will be a distinct advantage
* Extensive local and international wine knowledge
* A demonstrated history of training and mentoring staff that contributed to the delivery of increased customer satisfaction
* A history of working within budgeted guidelines
* Hold a current WA Liquor License, or the ability to obtain one
* High level of personal presentation and grooming
