Carlo's IGA is an Australian owned & operated retail supermarket business.Currently with 14 stores across NSW and QLD, the Group is committed to providing consumers with outstanding customer service, selling high quality products to the local community.We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Calala.As the Produce Department Manager, your role is to maintain the highest standards in regards to product quality and presentation.The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to treat the department as if it were their own.They will be given the flexibility to tailor the stores service and products offering to meet the specific needs of the consumers within the local community of the store.Key duties and responsibilities will include; Assist in developing and implementing the business plan for the department.Order stock to maintain the range and maximise sales potential; Drive the achievement of budgeted sales and shrinkage targets; Maintain the presentation and set up of the department; Perform regular stocktakes within department and investigate discrepancies; Ensure compliance with food safety regulations where applicable; Respond to customer queries in a timely manner and maximise the customer experience; Manage performance of team members through coaching, feedback and formal counselling where appropriate; Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (including manual handling & cash handling).The successful applicant will have; Proven experience in a similar role; Sound knowledge and experience in Grocery retail, including familiarity with selling and merchandising principles.; Customer service orientation; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred; Commercial experience: understanding of managing costs and profits, wages/sales budgets, and effective rostering; Appropriate food safety qualifications; Ability to positively interact with a range of stakeholders; Operate effectively in a team environment and have a willingness to learn and a can-do attitude; Ability to analyse, forecast and provide data reporting and insight to influence future sales strategies; You must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in forecasting, planning and sales as well as have a dynamic and pro-active work style; A valid Forklift license will be a bonus.If you check all the boxes and want to establish yourself within a growing business APPLY NOW !
