Intralox has an opening for a Technical Support Engineer for Apac. As a member of the Technical Support Group (TSG) you will provide first-line, remote technical support both to customers and to the company's customer service and sales departments. You will be able to work in a broad range of industries providing technical support and finding solutions to technically challenging problems. In addition, you may focus on special belt solutions for unique customer needs and give advice on what product solutions will meet customer requirements best. This role is based in Melbourne and reports to the Asia Pacific TSG Manager.
Responsibilities
1. Make industry-specific product recommendations.
2. Technical evaluations of conveyor systems.
3. Remote troubleshooting and resolution.
4. Create and present technical presentations via webcast or other remote technology.
5. Analyze conveyor design and make recommendations for improvement.
6. Provide technical training for other employees.
7. Research & locate technical data.
8. Create Bill of Materials for projects.
Qualifications
9. Native or near-native English. Additional language skills (SEA) are advantageous.
10. College or University (technical) degree. Mechanical Engineering preferred
11. 2+ years experience in an industrial sales/support or industrial equipment specification role.
12. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to conceptualize and articulate mechanical concepts.
13. Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Computer proficient with MS Office Applications & both 2D and 3D CAD.
16. Ability to manage multiple projects/issues at one time.
17. Service-minded, team-player, self-managed mentality with a sense of ownership.
