The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is a unique emergency service agency responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland. Comprising the Fire and Rescue Service, the Rural Fire Service, and the State Emergency Service, QFES supports other volunteer groups providing emergency response to Queenslanders.
As an auxiliary firefighter with QFES, you will be part of a team responding to fire and other emergency incidents. Your key accountabilities include attending emergency calls, participating in community education activities, developing and maintaining competencies through training, and contributing to incident reporting and general station administration.

The position requires manual C Class driver's licence, Australian Permanent Resident Status, and employers' written consent to attend incidents and emergencies. You must also commit to regular drill and training sessions, obtain an MRV licence within 12 months, and participate in ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs.
