ABOUT THE POSITION: We are seeking an experienced digital practitioner to lead development of Museums Victoria's websites (including Immigration Museum, Scienceworks and Melbourne Museum). As Museums Victoria's Senior Web Developer, you will Integrate the website with external systems through the use of APIs, Scope, document, produce and deploy new digital products (apps, websites, webbased tools etc) using agreed methodologies and technical solutions in collaboration with content providers, developers and designers and be part of an Agile team. Some of the key duties include: Working with the Manager, Digital Platforms, lead development of Museums Victoria websites (including Immigration Museum, Scienceworks and Melbourne Museum). Integrate the website with external systems through the use of APIs. Scope, document, produce and deploy new digital products (apps, websites, webbased tools etc) using agreed methodologies and technical solutions in collaboration with content providers, developers and designers. Work as part of an Agile team, actively supporting its successful collaboration with stakeholders to test and iterate solutions for Museums Victoria's digital products. Actively participate in and support ICT strategic planning including planning and implementing projects commissioned under the auspices of the Digital Transformation Strategy including infrastructure, support services, hardware specifications and software configuration. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE: Extensive experience in developing end to end/full stack for web publishing technologies, including .NET, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience working within Azure or other cloud-hosted environments, including cloud infrastructure management. Experience with integrating systems through the use of APIs. Excellent analytical and conceptual skills within an online development team including planning and testing solutions. Excellent written and oral skills, with the ability to define user requirements, develop from prototypes and write technical documentation. Experience working independently, and in an Agile methodology within a software development team, which supports peer-to-peer review and knowledge sharing. An interest or experience in working within the cultural sector. OTHER INFORMATION: This is a full-time, 2 year fixed term. The salary offered is $92,332 (pro rata) 11.5% superannuation.
