About the team:
Colin Biggers & Paisley has more than a century of property industry experience, giving us a unique understanding and knowledge that sets us apart from our competitors.
Our experience is in residential, industrial, rural, commercial and government projects, across all property asset classes, including retirement, aged care, agriculture, mining, residential mixed use, hotels, office leasing portfolios, shopping centres and infrastructure.
Our clients include property developers, substantial property portfolio owners, government authorities and significant overseas corporate and government investors in the Australian real estate market.
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior paralegal to work in an established Property team in the areas of leasing, development and conveyancing.
* Ability to handle multiple medium and large scale off the plan developments including vacant land, industrial and residential strata, working mostly unsupervised
* Communicating with clients to receive instructions and give advice
* File management for conveyancing matters – sale and purchase files as well as sub division and large scale development matters
* Preparing contracts and drafting all correspondence
* Lodging documents and coordinating settlements
* Liaising with clients, lenders, real estate agents and other stakeholders
* Researching details about the property/development being bought or sold
* Conducting searches and enquires
* Diary management and end of month billing
About you:
* 4 to 5 years' experience as a property paralegal
* Excellent client service
* Strong working knowledge of PEXA Projects and Duties on Line
* High attention to detail and an eye for detail
* Relevant qualifications (highly desirable)
* Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal and written.
* Strong research and problem solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure, respond promptly and effectively to clients
* Knowledge and experience of Microsoft products and iManage (document management system)
* Knowledge and experience of electronic property lodgement and settlement systems, including Pexa
