This is a mobile role where you will work at least 10 hours per week or more with participants across their homes in South-Western Sydney.
About The Opportunity
This is a permanent part-time opportunity with a minimum of 10 hours per week and opportunities to pick up additional shifts across South-Western Sydney LGA (Campbelltown, Liverpool, Fairfield, etc.)
SCHADS Level 2 base rate from $33.41 per hour with salary packaging benefits, penalty rates, and superannuation Salary packaging benefits up to $18,550 per year (pay less tax) Must be flexible to work across the week (mostly weekdays) from 9am to 5:30pm depending on the requirement Our service operates 7 days a week environment from 9am to 5:30pm.
Uniting is currently looking for flexible and dedicated Disability Support Workers to engage with participants living with various physical and mental disabilities under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) across their homes in Western, Northwestern, Southwestern and Inner Sydney. If you possess a caring and compassionate nature, along with a 'can do' attitude, and you genuinely seek a job where you can make a meaningful difference by building their capacity with daily living, we have a role that is suitable for you.
What you will be doing;
Aiding with daily life activities and assistance for community support such as attending a doctor's appointment and shopping. Supporting individuals with their educational and work-related endeavours. Facilitating access to various community, social, and recreational activities. Assisting with transportation to enable access to daily activities and engagements. Who we are looking for;
Previous experience or qualifications in disability or aged care Good communication skills and ability to do case notes through mobile phone Possession of a valid NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Check NSW Driver's license (can be on Green P Plates) and Comprehensive car insurance are required for the role. First Aid Certificate is also a necessary qualification. Even BetterCertificate 3 or 4 in Disability or Individual Support
