Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are looking for a skilled AWS Architect to design and deploy scalable, highly available, and secure solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, infrastructure design, and a deep understanding of AWS services and best practices. As an AWS Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative cloud solutions that meet the business needs and objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud-based solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
2. Architect and deploy AWS infrastructure, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, EC2 instances, RDS databases, S3 storage, and more.
3. Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, best practices, and design patterns.
4. Evaluate new AWS services and features and make recommendations for their adoption based on business requirements.
5. Implement security controls and compliance measures to protect AWS environments from security threats and vulnerabilities.
6. Optimize AWS resources for performance, cost, and reliability.
7. Collaborate with development teams to architect and deploy applications on AWS.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
9. Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. X+ years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure design, with a focus on AWS.
3. AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional certification is highly preferred.
4. Proficiency in designing and implementing AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
5. Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, subnets, routing, and security groups.
6. Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Jenkins.
7. Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and management.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
