This is a permanent role with a starting salary of either $108,571 or $128,571 (depending on experience), plus superannuation, bonus and great benefits. A hybrid role with 3 days in the office which can be split between Geelong and Melbourne (minimum 2 days/week in Geelong office). About the role Legal Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage a diverse range of legal matters, from intricate litigation to high-impact dispute resolution, providing clear and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders. Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Represent the organisation in litigation, including VCAT, County, and Supreme Court matters, and use alternative dispute resolution techniques to achieve positive outcomes. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with plaintiff solicitors, medical professionals, and court personnel to support successful case outcomes. Strategic Problem-Solving: Apply your legal expertise to interpret complex legislation and provide strategic solutions that align with the organisation's mission and objectives. Process Improvement: Contribute to improving internal processes and driving efficiencies that enhance the overall service delivery. About you 1-5 years experience in litigation across multiple jurisdictions (including VCAT, County, and Supreme Courts), and experience in dispute resolution. Experience in personal injury or workers compensation is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of relevant legislation, and legal precedents. Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders. Strong problem-solving abilities, time management skills, and the capacity to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Current practicing certificate and admission as an Australian Lawyer. A commitment to continuous learning and development.
