Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior HSE Advisor with onsite experience on modular or commercial construction projects. This role will have a national presence and you will play a critical role in developing, building, and implementing health, safety, and environmental processes and procedures and ensuring these standards are upheld on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on-site.
* Travel between states (WA, SA, NT).
* Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
* Collaborate with subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, etc.) to ensure adherence to safety practices and standards.
* Manage safety protocols across different phases of construction, from project initiation through to completion.
* Address safety concerns and incidents promptly, providing effective solutions and recommendations.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance site safety.
* Promote a culture of safety, encouraging staff and subcontractors to adhere to best practices and report hazards.
Experience:
* 5+ years' experience in modular or commercial construction.
* Experience in achieving ISO Certification.
* Ability to develop and expand on safety processes, procedures, and documentation (i.e Safety Management Plan, SWMS, etc).
* Experience using MYOSH.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box and address complex safety challenges.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with site personnel and subcontractors.
