To learn more please visit www.serco.com/ahsc About the Role As a Bench Registered Nurse you will be responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients. You will develop and maintain patient care plans, liaise with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to provide co-ordinated patient management, provide assessment of patients and co-ordinate outpatient and inpatient treatments. A Bench role is a permanent full-time position with benefits like sick and annual leave. You must be flexible and available to backfill for sick or planned leave, even if you don't work all five shifts. Unlike a casual role, you're paid as a full-time employee regardless of shifts worked. To be successful in this role, you will have: The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour. Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Minimum of 12 months Post Graduate experience within the last 5 years in an acute care, primary health care, or military setting (or part-time equivalent). Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification. About Richmond, Holsworthy and Glenbrook Health Centres Richmond Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Richmond, the oldest Air Force base in NSW, 50 km north-west of Sydney and home to the C-130J Hercules medium transport aircraft. The facility provides primary medical, aviation medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services to Defence members. The base also operates a 24-hour inpatient ward, which closes over the weekend. Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1630 Mon-Thurs, and 0730-1400 Friday (depending on role requirements). Holsworthy Health Centre is located 25 kilometres south-west of central Sydney. Located on a 20,000-hectare base, it comprises of a 41-bed inpatient ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Holsworthy base is also home to the Defence Force Correctional Establishment where detainees are visited by RNs daily. Standard hours of operation are generally 0730-1530 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). Glenbrook Clinic is at RAAF Base Glenbrook located in the foothills of the NSW Blue Mountains, north-west of Sydney. It is home to Air Command where the mission is to raise, train and sustain air and space power to meet Government objectives. This small base often hosts community events with scenic walking tracks nearby, as well as a pool, gym and tennis courts. The clinic provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, mental health and physiotherapy services. Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1630 Mon-Thurs, and 0730-1400 Friday.
