Position Details Primary Role: Occupational Therapist Work Location: Nambour, Queensland Employment Type: Employee, 4 days, Permanent Part time (0.6 FTE) Qualification & Experience: need an accredited undergraduate degree in occupational therapy, or a related undergraduate degree followed by a Master’s of Occupational Therapy Salary Package: $42 - $60 per hour (Award Rate) dependent on qualifications and experience. The Criteria A sense of Humour Current registration with AHPRA Understand the health needs of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children, families and community Current Working With Children (WWC) Check Empathy and ability to build a rapport with a variety of different people Great investigative skills and ability to problem-solve and come up with solutions Demonstrable anatomical and neurological expertise to understand the physical difficulties patients are experiencing Advanced verbal and written communication skills to effectively talk to patients and type up reports for other professionals Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team Duties and Responsibilities: Carrying out in-person assessments of patients’ abilities and challenges Developing strategies and treatment plans to support patients in overcoming their challenges Assessing the patient’s environment, such as work or home, to suggest modifications as needed Teaching patients exercises and strategies to apply in their daily lives Providing advice on technical equipment that may support the patient Liaising with other treating professionals to discuss patient progress Can you see yourself making a difference?
