Summary: The Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive oral health care services to patients, including preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dental care. They play a critical role in promoting good oral health hygiene practices, diagnosing and managing dental diseases and conditions. Responsibilities: Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and surrounding tissues. Diagnose dental conditions and oral health problems, analysing findings and recommending treatment options. Perform preventive services like cleaning, fluoride treatments and sealants. Restore teeth affected by decay, trauma or other factors by filling cavities, repairing chips or cracks and performing root canals. Extraction of teeth. Fitting crowns, bridges, and dentures. Offer cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening. Patient education about diet, oral hygiene, and other preventive dental care practices. Manage and coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals such as orthodontists and oral surgeons. Qualifications: Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. State license to practice dentistry. Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team and create a positive patient experience. Attention to detail and strong manual dexterity. 3 plus years’ experience practicing dentistry is preferred.
