Our Lady of Mercy College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of Mathematics to join our team at the beginning of Term 1, 2025. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about teaching Maths across Stages 4 to 6. Who are we? The opportunity The successful applicant will have experience teaching Mathematics across Stages 4 to 6, with a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver coursework aligned with the syllabus. They will design tasks that encourage critical thinking and provide timely, constructive feedback to support student reflection and improvement. The primary purpose of this role is to nurture the gifts and talents of each student ensuring that our Catholic practices and Mercy Values underpin all aspects of life in the school. What are we looking for? Relevant tertiary qualifications to teach Mathematics in NSW. Experience teaching Mathematics across Stages 4 to 6. Capacity to critically reflect and adjust teaching practice to improve learning outcomes. Capacity to establish a supportive environment conducive to effective student learning. Excellent interpersonal, communication, administrative, organisational and collaborative working skills. Flexibility and adaptability to the teaching requirements of the College. Willingness to actively support and participate in the life of the College, and the Catholic mission and Mercy values of the College. Willingness to participate in the co-curricular life of the College (noting that there are no regular weekend sporting commitments). Hold a current Working with Children Check number.
