About the Role As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing financial processes, compliance, and reporting requirements. Working within a dynamic finance team, you will contribute to optimising the company’s financial strategy and operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyse statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with precision and timeliness. Collaborate with stakeholders to support financial planning and forecasting. Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and identify areas for system enhancement. Manage tax compliance, including BAS, FBT, and income tax filings. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Provide strategic financial insights to senior management and external stakeholders. Support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries. Ensure adherence to company policies and evolving regulatory requirements. About You You are a highly motivated financial professional with a strong technical skill set and an ability to collaborate across teams. Your expertise in accounting and compliance, paired with strategic thinking, equips you to thrive in this challenging and rewarding environment. Qualifications and Experience CPA or CA qualification. Extensive experience in financial reporting, audit, and compliance within complex organisations. Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and IFRS. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Excel. Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
