Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a diverse range of authentic Chinese dishes with precision and creativity.
* Plan and design seasonal menus that reflect traditional and modern Chinese flavors.
* Maintain high standards of food preparation, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
* Oversee kitchen operations, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining hygiene standards.
* Monitor food costs and minimize waste to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
* Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring a collaborative and efficient working environment.
* Train kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular kitchen inspections.
* Adjust menu items to reflect customer preferences and seasonal availability.
* Handle special requests and dietary requirements, creating dishes to accommodate customer needs.
Qualifications:
* Minimum Diploma in Hospitality Management (Commercial Cookery) or in relevant field.
* At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably specializing in Chinese or similar cuisine.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
