We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Mullaloo Beach Primary School (PS) became an Independent Public School (IPS) at the start of the 2013 school year. Located in the Perth coastal suburb of Mullaloo, Mullaloo Beach PS is nestled in a tranquil environment just 300 metres from the beach. The school is located within a nature reserve and adjoins extensive playing fields. Large trees and grassed areas surround the school creating an open and natural ambience to greet visitors to the school.
Suitable applicants will ideally be highly motivated and committed to raising literacy and numeracy achievement, as well as social and emotional skills, through the effective use of whole-school approaches and explicit teaching. They would create an effective, engaging and inclusive learning environment based on high expectations and have great leadership skills. The suitable applicants will ideally also use assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all students in their class, including those with special needs.
Suitable applicants will ideally have a strong understanding of the Literacy Based Units, Talk 4 Writing, PLD, Oxford Mathematics, Paul Swan Mathematics and the Australian Curriculum. A solid understanding of play based learning (Early Childhood), Visible Learning and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) would also be desirable. They will also ideally be an active member of a collaborative team, maximising the learning opportunities for students and collaborating with their colleagues. Vacancies may arise during the term of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education, Music, Visual Arts). Having a passion and joy for teaching and strong classroom management skills are highly regarded in this role.
