DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops, coaches, counsels and directs Meat Department personnel. Provides feedback to promote teamwork and accountability among employees. Monitors Meat Department employee performance and participates in performance reviews as needed. Implements and upholds proper Meat Department and general safety procedures and standards.
2. Leads, provides training, encouragement, advice and feedback to meat department employees. Coordinates activities and breaks for meat department personnel.
3. Upholds and teaches Costco Meat Department policies and procedures.
4. Determines production requirements. Checks quality and consistency of finished merchandise. Oversees merchandise presentation and merchandising.
5. Carries out and ensures employee participation in Meat Manager's plan for sales and merchandising. Participates in meat cutting.
6. Follows Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position. Completes and complies with with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification and all safety training required by warehouse and meat department.
7. Reviews sanitation log and checks for health code compliance.
8. Assists with physical inventory as needed.
9. Performs routine maintenance for machinery and equipment. Informs manager of equipment repairs needed.
10. Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees and vendors.
11. Assists in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.

18. MUST BE ABLE TO SHOW PROOF OF RIGHT TO WORK IN AUSTRALIA
19. SUPERVISOR EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
20. MUST HAVE A BUTCHER TRADE QUALIFICATION
