As a registered NDIS provider, we support people in the Bendigo and Castlemaine communities who are living with a disability and/or ageing. This is an excellent opportunity for University or TAFE students who are studying within the Nursing or Allied Health field to work within industry while studying. Flexible working hours; employees set their own availability! Tasks and Responsibilities: Our Community Workers assist clients to remain living independently in their own home and community. No day is ever the same! Some of the tasks you will be providing include: Assistance with self-care: showering, dressing, and positioning Assistance in the community (e.g., appointments & grocery shopping) Skill development, prompting, and motivation Light domestic duties Qualifications & Experience: Please read the below requirements before applying for this position. Hold a minimum Cert III in Aged Care/Individual Support, Cert IV in Disability Support, or currently enrolled in University or TAFE in either Nursing or Allied Health. Flu shot - Proof from Medicare required. Hold a current minimum Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR or be prepared to obtain it. Have a recent and clear (3 month) National Police Check. Current Working with Children Check. NDIS Worker Screening Check. Must have a roadworthy vehicle, Australian Driver's License, and Comprehensive Car Insurance. Own a smartphone.
