Your New Opportunity:
As one of our Field Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics, your work is critical to keep our customers going and on the road! Joining the team in Chipping Norton you'll use your skills to work on premium brands with OEM training and the ability to build both your skills and career! This role gives you a dynamic work experience – both in the workshop and out in the field you'll use your problem-solving skills to provide top-notch service to our on-highway products. The right candidate will be flexible on work hours, comfortable to work the afternoon shift - 12pm - 8pm.
About you:
* Trade qualification Certificate III in heavy vehicles
* Robust background in maintenance, service and repair of heavy vehicles and trucks.
* Current HR licence and clean driving record.
* Comfortable working autonomously in a field service vehicle.
* Dennis Eagle or Cummins experience highly regarded.
* Exhibit a sound technical knowledge and experience with American or European trucks – Volvo, Mack Scania, or Kenworth.
* Experience in Western Star, MAN Trucks & Bus, Dennis Eagle, mtu, Detroit and Allison Transmission products would be highly advantageous
* Easily work independently, but just as happy working in a team
* Have effective communication and teamwork skills, and actively promote Penske's values and purpose.
* Experience in Electronic control systems would be favourable.
* An eye for detail with high quality field service and job reports.
* Flexibility to respond to reasonable field mobilisations, planned activities and short notice mobilisations.
