We’re looking for an experienced Leader of Learning VET to join our Learning Directorate on a temporary full-time basis from the 22nd of July 2024 until 27 September 2024.
The Leader of Learning VET is accountable for coordinating the provision of Vocational Education and Training in schools as a delegate of the Registered Training Organisation and supporting additional pathways beyond VET.
More specifically, you will:
1. Coordinate the effective delivery and compliance of vocational education in regards to the standards and other requirements for the Registered Training Organisation (RTO), NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeships (SBAT) and System requirements within a cluster of schools
2. Implement RTO policies, procedures and resources
3. Provide specialist knowledge and expertise in working collaboratively as a member of each schools’ curriculum leadership and VET teams to build the capacity and sustainability of VET.
4. As part of a team, develop contemporary learning and assessment materials using our CANVAS LMS.
5. Develop the capacity of vocational education teachers in their pedagogy and industry skills and knowledge.
6. Coordinate the effective delivery of mandatory work placement.
7. Develop and support connections within and between schools and with industry, government, community, and other RTOs to create innovative opportunities for students.
Typical Experience and Qualifications:
8. Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study
9. Appropriate demonstrated VET teaching experience
10. Accredited as a teacher with NESA
