Add expected salary to your profile for insightsElecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.The roleAs the Logistics Supervisor you will manage the planning, storage, and distribution of internal-external plant, equipment, and materials to ensure they are delivered to their appropriate work-front on time and in total, as well as providing clear leadership and direction for the yard, laydown area and multiple lay-down teams.This is a full time, fixed term 12 month contract. FIFO into Wagga Wagga, NSW and requires you to work on a 2/1 roster. This would equally suit somebody based in the Wagga area.Primary responsibilities will include:Planning and managing logistics, yard, laydown, transportation, and customer relationshipsDirect management of logistics staff, access team and yard staff membersLiaising and negotiating with suppliers and manufacturersWorking closely with construction supervisors in various departments to ensure plant, equipment and received materials are available to suit programmed works and meet necessary specificationsWorking with the Materials Controls team to implement and manage accurate stock control systemsWorking with Plant Superintendent to ensure all project plant and equipment is safely maintained and transported while in and around project yards and laydownsImplement and monitor controls for material stacking, storage, loading and unloading to promote safety and efficiency within the Project yardMaintain detailed records of all plant, equipment and material transfers to and from the ProjectEnsure high standards in Health, Safety and Environment management are promoted and enforced within the Project yard areaYour skills and experience:Qualification in Logistics/Warehousing or considerable experience10+ years logistics experience5+ years experience working on large construction/renewables projectsFull C class drivers licenseConstruction White cardCompetent with Microsoft products and ERP experience an advantageWe’re building a diverse workforce.Elecnor Australia is committed to being an employer of choice.
