About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant (Diabetes Educator) to join our welcoming and supportive Primary Health based out of our Leongatha campus. As a part of a broader multidisciplinary team, the role supports members of the community to effectively manage their diabetes, delivering an important service for the community.
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Diabetes Educator) at GSHS you will be responsible for:
1. Support those with diabetes and their families to effectively self-manage their condition
2. Working in a multidisciplinary team to deliver health programs
3. Supporting specialist clinics
4. Provide health promotion and education for other health professionals, community groups, carers, families, and local schools
About You
The successful applicant should possess the following:
1. AHPRA Registered Nurse
2. Graduate Certificate in Diabetes education (credentialled or working towards)
3. An ability to work across a diverse group of clients including adults, children, and pregnant women
4. A strong interest and understanding of diabetes technology
Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education, and development programs. All applicants will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working With Children Check.
