Pre-Sales Engineer – Document Solutions / LFP
Epson, a leader in the projector, printer and imaging markets, is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer to effectively support its growing Document Solutions and Professional Print Solutions business!
This Pre-Sales Engineer will join our current team of 9, across SA, QLD, NSW and VIC, reporting to our General Manager – Sales.
This role is responsible for assisting our sales force, dealers and customers with both sales and technical support within this specialised area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the sales team & service team to understand client requirements and develop tailored print solutions.
* Design and implement integrated print environments, incorporating third-party software solutions such as PaperCut and Printix for enhanced print management and workflow automation.
* Provide technical pre-sales support, including product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and customer workshops.
* Assist with installations either remotely or on-site at customer locations.
* Configure, test, and troubleshoot print solutions in diverse IT environments, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise applications and document management systems.
* Lead technical presentations and workshops to demonstrate the value of integrated print solutions to clients.
* Act as the technical point of contact for both internal teams and clients, addressing concerns related to network configuration, print security, and software compatibility.
* Maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors to stay current on new product offerings and integration possibilities.
* Work closely with project management teams to ensure smooth implementation and handover of solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Expertise in Print Management Software:
o Strong experience with third-party print management software such as PaperCut, Printix, and similar platforms.
o Ability to configure and deploy print management solutions within complex IT environments.
* IT Network Integration:
o Extensive knowledge of networking protocols and infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, wireless printing, etc.).
o Experience integrating print hardware with enterprise IT systems, including Active Directory, cloud platforms, and virtualisation environments.
o Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to print network configuration, print queues, and secure print release mechanisms.
* Third-Party Software Integration:
o Proven ability to integrate print solutions with third-party software platforms, including document management, workflow automation, and cloud print services.
* Security and Compliance:
o Knowledge of print security protocols and data protection, including encryption, secure print release, and user authentication.
* Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Design:
o Ability to translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions, product configurations, and service offerings.
o Experience in presenting complex IT and print solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Project Management and Collaboration:
o Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams (sales, product, technical support) and external vendors.
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications in IT networking or relevant print vendor certifications (e.g., PaperCut Certified, Printix Certified).
* Experience with cloud-based printing solutions and SaaS platforms.
* Network plus certification or diploma in computing & networks.
* Familiarity with enterprise IT environments, including Windows Server, Linux, and MacOS.
