Key Responsibilities
* Drive urban renewal and placemaking projects to create vibrant, sustainable spaces.
* Lead the management of complex urban place projects, utilising cross-disciplinary project teams to achieve outcomes that align with the unique cultural, social, and environmental context of each site.
* Lead the Urban Places Team within the Strategic Projects and Places Department by setting clear objectives, inspiring creativity and innovation, and fostering a collaborative culture.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to secure investment and bring big ideas to life.
* Write clear, impactful reports and business cases to support strategic decision-making.
* Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring quality outcomes on time and within budget.
Requirements
* Strong understanding of place-based frameworks, placemaking principles, and the role of place in urban development.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of urban planning and development principles, with a strong emphasis on integrating built form and the public realm to enhance place character and identity through place-based strategies.
* Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, manage, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Demonstrated experience in engaging communities and building capacity within urban renewal environments.
