Overview
Our client is looking to engage a Service Desk Consultant (level 1-2 support) on a permanent basis. In this role you will be optimizing and managing IT service desk operations to enhance efficiency, improve customer experience, and ensure smooth business operations. You will work closely with clients to assess their current service desk frameworks, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices and technologies for streamlined support processes.
Responsibilities
* First point of IT Support contact for all staff and students (shared role with other members of the IT Team).
* Responding in a timely manner to service requests and issues.
* Maintain and service relevant equipment for clients.
* Install and maintain software as required.
* Assist with the live streaming of clients events.
* Assist with the creation, development and distribution of software images on both desktops and laptops.
* Provide support for the Client’s audio-visual and sound systems and help oversee a group of ICT students for the operation of audio-visual equipment during clients events.
* Assist with Identifying and resolving audio-visual issues.
* Maintain and update the asset, software and maintenance registers of the clients.
* Assist with the improvement of record-keeping and documenting procedures.
* Assist the Director of Information Technology with the conducting of IT professional development within the clients.
* Review, analyse and identify trends in IT issues and develop proactive solutions to facilitate the improvement of our customers end-user experience.
* Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Information Technology.
* Working with Children’s Suitability Card, or the ability to apply, is essential.
Skills
* Excellent knowledge of PC and Laptop hardware and the ability to identify and deal with common PC faults involving software and hardware.
* A proactive approach to learning driven by a desire to improve current skills and knowledge.
* Knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems and iOS.
* Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience working in a networked environment.
* Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and/or Microsoft Systems Centre products highly regarded.
* Previous experience with performance level audio-visual equipment will be beneficial.

* Demonstratable troubleshooting skills.
* Great communication skills with an ability to relate to our all of clients.
