We are currently seeking an experienced, diligent and passionate Chef/Cook to join our wonderful Early Childhood service in Surfers Paradise About the Role In this role you will be required to plan, create, prepare and serve fresh, delicious and nutritious meals to the children that attend our service daily. Menu development and encouraging child participation in the cooking process are key aspects along with helping us to empower our families with knowledge on optimal meal and food requirements. The Successful Candidate Will Meet the Following Selection Criteria: Valid Blue Card Able to commence work as soon as possible Experience in developing creative and interactive cooking experiences Experience in devising, reviewing and adhering to Food Safety Program requirements Strong demonstrable knowledge of allergies and food intolerances including anaphylaxis Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain at own expense prior to commencing role) Current relevant First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates (or willing to obtain/refresh as required) Recognised culinary qualification (desirable) paired with considerable recent experience as a Chef/Cook in an Early Childhood setting (essential) Available to work 6.5 hours per day, and 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (hours are 7:30am-2pm daily with possible extension in the future).
