The key duties of the position include The Role The Navy Communications and Media Team is seeking an enthusiastic APS 5 Web Administrator who will contribute to the Intranet Renewal Project (IRP) delivering in line with the new Defence Web Policy. Defence is upgrading to the IRP to provide a more modern, reliable, consistent and sustainable intranet experience for all Defence personnel and the APS 5 Web Administrator will be a key member of delivering this capability. The successful applicant will facilitate the decommissioning of SharePoint2010 in both the Defence Protected and Secret environments (DPE/DSE) via the provision of exceptional customer service, project delivery and with a view to enhancing Navy's intranet user experience. Applicants will need to demonstrate an ability to: Support the creation and compliance review of content on the Defence intranet website. Creates digital design in line with Enterprise Web Directorate (EWD) standards. Ability to build networks and leverage off these. Critical thinking and problem solving skills. Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset to establish and maintain professional relationships with Navy stakeholders. Ability to prioritise requests received in the team's group mailbox, and the publication and quality assurance of web content in compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). About our Team The APS 5 Web Administrator Navy is part of the Navy Communication Branch within Chief of Staff Navy Headquarters, Russell (COSNHQ). The branch is a blended workforce with a mix of APS staff members and Navy uniformed personnel. The branch in total has approximately 20 staff members that are located in Russell Offices, Campbell Park and Fleet Bases East and West. The branch encompasses staff with a broad range of skills; including media and marketing skills; social media experts, imagery specialists, public affairs officers and strategic communication advisors. The team works collaboratively in developing tactical and strategic communication outcomes for Navy and the Department of Defence.
