About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) has an exciting opportunity available for a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife to join the team to provide a comprehensive midwifery service for our consumers accessing our Women's Health Clinic for antenatal care as well as our Maternity Assessment Unit.
This position works closely with consumers to identify needs for specialised services, implement referrals and provide support. Our Midwives provide clinical expertise including being a resource person in the delivery and coordination of nursing and midwifery care within the Women's Health Clinic and the Maternity Assessment Unit as required, whilst maintaining compliance with the Australian Code of Practice for Midwives.
Position overview
* Employment Type: Permanent part time (up to 64 hours per fortnight), please state your preferred hours in your application
* Location: Warrnambool Campus
* Classification: Registered Midwife Grade 2
* Salary Range: $81,364.40 - $100,146.80 pro rata, plus superannuation

* A Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife holding a current Registration Certificate as required by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) in both General Nursing and Midwifery Nursing
* Demonstrated clinical expertise and use of evidence based clinical practice to facilitate positive patient outcomes
* Demonstrated ability to work independently
* Demonstrated commitment to improve service delivery, clinical practice and minimise risk
* Demonstrated communication skills, written and oral
* Demonstrated commitment /evidence of commitment to professional development of self and others
