About the role
As the Lead Carpenter for JLH Response Carpentry, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting construction projects in the Adelaide area. In this full-time role, you'll be responsible for overseeing a team of carpenters and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards. The role involves a mix of hands-on carpentry work and project management, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced and ambitious carpenter looking to take the next step in their career.
What you'll be doing
* Lead and oversee a team of carpenters to ensure the successful completion of construction projects
* Carry out complex carpentry tasks such as installing cabinets, framing walls, and finishing timber work
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
* Inspect work to ensure it meets all relevant building codes and safety standards
* Provide guidance and training to junior members of the carpentry team
* Contribute to the development of project plans and timelines
* Maintain a safe and organised work environment
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience as a qualified carpenter, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the industry
* Proven track record of leading and managing a team of carpenters
* Strong technical skills and knowledge of carpentry techniques and building codes
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
* A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
* A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
