Job title: Financial Modeller
Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia (On-site)
We're currently partnering with a firm that specialises in investing and developing energy & infrastructure projects as they look to hire a Financial Modeller to join their investment team.
They're looking for a motivated Financial Modeller with 1-2 years of experience, ideally in energy or infrastructure, to play a key role in supporting their project evaluations, financial analysis, and decision-making processes.
Your role:
1. Develop and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions, project financing, and business planning initiatives.
2. Analyse financial data, market trends, and project metrics to assess investment viability and identify opportunities for optimization.
3. Support due diligence activities for potential investments, including financial due diligence, market research, and competitor analysis.
4. Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and financial summaries for internal stakeholders, investors, and project partners.
Your background:
5. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
6. 1-2 years of experience in financial modelling, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.
7. Proficiency in financial modelling software (e.g., Excel, VBA, Python) and familiarity with project finance principles.
8. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and perform quantitative analysis.
9. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
