About the role
We are seeking motivated Health Care Workers to join our dedicated team at Lakeside Living Edenhope. This role involves delivering day-to-day care for residents according to their care plan and in collaboration with the resident and other members of the health care team.
As a Health Care Worker, you will play a vital role in meeting the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse you will provide resident-focused, holistic care, adhering to the highest standards. With the support of our leadership team, you will contribute to the effective and efficient management of our Care Communities and continuously strive for personal and professional development.
Skills and Experience
* Possess a Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Ageing Support or equivalent preferred but not essential.
* Minimum of 12 months experience working in a care giving role in a residential aged care service.
* Demonstrate the ability to provide direct consumer care that meets the individual needs of the resident and relatives.
* Demonstrate an ability to participate in the development and review of Resident Care Plans.
* Computer skills: intermediate computer skills with demonstrated ability to use computer software particularly Microsoft Office Suite
* Have the physical ability to bend, twist, crouch, squat, kneel, stand, walk, reach above shoulder height, lift, push/pull.
* Rotating across a 24/7 roster (AM, PM &night shifts)
* Successful attainment of HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication
* Follow Basic Food Safety Practices (HLTFSE001).
* Adaptability, initiating action, collaboration, managing work (including time management), work standards and stress tolerance.
* Demonstrated person-centred care and respectful approach to patients, visitors and staff.
