Spine Surgical Fellowship
We are a multi-disciplinary specialist private practice providing surgical services to patients with a wide range of spine and brain disorders.
Our two orthopaedic spine surgeons and two neurosurgeons undertake over 1500 open surgeries annually in the private and public healthcare systems.
We offer two post-FRACS or overseas equivalent Fellowship positions for Australian, New Zealand or overseas surgeons seeking further subspecialty training and experience principally in spine surgery.
Fellowship Details
* Substantial exposure to Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) techniques
* Exposure to spinal deformity surgery, motion preservation techniques (TDR, DSS) and intradural surgery
* Case mix predominantly degenerative, but trauma, tumour, AIS and infective cases are frequent
* Opportunities for research projects
* No on-call commitment
* Perioperative physicians and spinal-focused physiotherapists 'inhouse'
* 6- or 12-month fellowship options available
Requirements
* Registration as a Medical Practitioner with APRHA
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent
* Current rights to work in Australia (eg Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent resident or suitable visa)
* Medicare recognition as a provider
