1. Permanent Part Time position available - 28 hours per fortnight
Week 1:
Friday: 10am - 4pm
Monday: 10am - 4pm
Week 2:
Friday: 10am - 4pm
Saturday: 1pm - 4pm
Sunday: 1pm - 4pm
Monday: 10am - 4pm

About the role
As a Wellness & Lifestyle Therapist you will deliver high quality wellness and lifestyle services to our residents to help them remain physically active and engaged with their loved ones and community.
Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
2. Delivering wellness and lifestyle services and activities that empower and support residents to engage in meaningful activities that align with SCC’s Better for life model
3. Empowering and enabling residents to maximise and improve their health, wellness and quality of life
4. Developing strategies and processes that enable residents to take informed risks to live the life they choose
5. Contributing to early intervention programs to develop recovery programs that address lifestyle and wellness decline
6. Listening to residents to ascertain that they are satisfied with the wellness services and support available to them

About you
We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
7. Minimum Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent Certificate IV
8. Demonstrated experience in the delivery and supporting the implementation of wellness and lifestyle programs for older people
9. Previous experience working in an aged care environment or passion for working with older people, good communication, organisation and relationship building skills
10. Sound problem solving skills particularly when assessing balancing supporting resident’s desire for independence and self determination to make their own choices against potential risks and duty of care
11. Good understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia including those who display challenging behaviours
12. Proficient computer and keyboard skills and the ability to use Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail etc.) and various in-house databases
