Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
About the Role
The Senior Portfolio Advisor is responsible for providing strategic advice and support to the Portfolio Office and the VCAT Executive team on a range of matters, including the delivery of the VCAT Transformation programme.
The role reports to the Director, PMO and Program Delivery and will be responsible for:
* leading the development of expert briefs, business plans, frameworks and reports on complex matters, including the VCAT Annual Report
* applying high level expertise and analysis
* attending enterprise governance forums and acting as the Director, PMO and Program Delivery delegate, as needed
* providing strategic advice with well-reasoned recommendations and innovative policy options and solutions
* supporting governance structures relevant to the smooth and effective operation of the VCAT
* developing high-quality, accurate communication materials where required to support the Director and VCAT Executive team
* providing comprehensive services including straegy development, stakeholder analysis and engagement support, reputational risks and issues management within a strategic communications and stakeholder engagement framework
About You
The ideal candidate will be strong in their integrity and service excellence and will have:
* demonstrated ability to align project initiatives with organisational strategic objectives
* extensive experience developing complex written documents such as business plans, policy frameworks, program development documents, Annual reports and briefs on highly complex issues and preferably in a government setting
* strong stakeholder engagement skills to foster effective communication and collaboration with the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation
* demonstrated experience interpreting legislation, practices, policies and procedures within a governance context
* excellent leadership skills fostering a strong cohesive approach to the delivery of strategic objectives
Formal qualifications in Communications will be highly regarded.
This position is full time and for a fixed period until 9 April 2027
