The Opportunity
Reporting to the Group WHS Manager and based at our Eagle Farm processing facility, this role ensures that all team members understand and adhere to all WHS, QA, and HR requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
* Collaborate within a dynamic team of trainers to meet the business’s training needs.
* Lead department inductions for new hires, including orientation on entry and exit procedures.
* Ensure all training complies with company procedures and standards.
* Work with site personnel to review and update any QSWIs/SOPs that require revisions.
* Support the development of new QSWIs and SOPs as needed.
* Ensure that new plant and equipment have appropriate risk control measures in place, including risk assessments in collaboration with the Department Manager, HSE Manager, and Plant Manager.
* Ensure no employee undertakes a new task without an established training program.
* Maintain accurate records, ensuring training matrices and files are up-to-date.
* Participate in supervisor meetings to discuss and provide feedback on training needs and outcomes.
* Prepare training reports as required for all training programs.
* Assist in the development and delivery of training programs as necessary.
* Mentor and supervise "Buddy Trainers" within the section.
* Attend and engage in WHS meetings.
* Coordinate and conduct safety walks, site inspections, and audits, identifying hazards/non-compliance and recording agreed actions.
* Actively contribute to WHS investigations and assess injuries related to incorrect procedures as directed by the Training Coordinator’s Manager and Plant Manager.
What We’re Looking For
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
* Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and Quality Assurance standards.
* Strong ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
* Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
* Flexibility to work both day and afternoon shifts as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
