Community Mental Health Nurse - Port Lincoln
An exciting opportunity exists in South Australia to work as a Registered Nurse and as part of an Acute Care Mental Health Team.
Job Summary:
The team provides acute care and crisis services to mental health clients. The role is a challenging one and ideal for someone who is looking at developing their skills and experience and making a positive difference in peoples' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Triage, comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, clinical formulation, management of risks and safety planning
* Brief psycho-education and close liaison with all relevant stakeholders as part of cooperative care and discharge planning
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Nursing
* Post graduate diploma in Mental Health (or willing to enroll)
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
* Demonstrated core competency skills in Mental Health interventions in the Community
Personal Attributes:
* Relationship builder with flexibility across work
* Naturally curious with ability to ask questions to learn more
* Confidence to make on the spot decisions
* Natural ability to engage with hard to engage with people
Compliance Requirements:
* National Police Certificate
* Working with Children Check and NDIS workers screening check (or ability to obtain)
* Relevant vaccination and Immunisation compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in providing comprehensive mental health assessments, risk assessment, safety planning and the provision of cooperative care and discharge planning
* High level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery
