Job Summary
The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will manage and guide complex, high-priority IT infrastructure projects with a focus on technology within law enforcement environments.
Main Responsibilities
* Project Management: Oversee projects to ensure they are managed and delivered to a high professional standard, aligned with internal and external policies, standards, and procedures.
* Leadership and Negotiation: Provide leadership to teams and senior management, negotiating solutions and resolving issues across divisions, organisational boundaries, and with stakeholders.
* Team Development: Lead, motivate, and develop project delivery teams using day-to-day management and formal performance processes to achieve business objectives.
* Customer Satisfaction: Actively manage customer needs, expectations, and satisfaction, ensuring compliance with client requirements and quality assurance standards.
* Delivery Framework: Ensure projects adopt and are endorsed with the appropriate delivery framework/methodology.
* Product Delivery: Drive the delivery and implementation of project products, ensuring creation of necessary documentation for product delivery and acceptance throughout the project life cycle.
* Vendor Management: Oversee external vendors in accordance with signed contracts, including assisting in RFT process, conducting analysis, tracking the project, managing relationships, monitoring deliverables, and providing reports.
* Change Management: Manage all change management activities within the project, including coordinating training initiatives.
Requirements
* Project Management Expertise: At least 7 years of continuous experience as a Project Manager, with a proven track record of successfully delivering a portfolio of at least 3 large-scale projects for complex organisations.
* Technical Oversight: Experience in managing IT infrastructure projects involving Hybrid Cloud Compute, Storage, Network, Security, Identity, OS refresh, Databases, and Unified Communications.
* Vendor Management: Demonstrated experience in managing external vendors, including defining scope of work, overseeing architecture and design, and ensuring successful delivery.
* Team Leadership: Extensive experience leading and motivating diverse internal teams (Architects, Engineers, Testers, Business Analysts), ensuring strong collaboration and high performance in demanding environments.
* Certification: Certification in project management best practices (preferably Practitioner PRINCE2, PMP).
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
